Imagine wearable ears that you can move by thought control, so you can signal like a cat or horse. Well they’re here. In a move that combines high technology with extreme cuteness a Japanese company has made a set of pink electromechanical cats ears that can be controlled by thinking.
They respond to your thoughts through a sensor on your head, and the company says they can reveal emotion. They sit up when you’re concentrating, lay flat when you’re bored and move and turn when you’re amused.
It’s clear that they’re fun to wear and watch, but there may be a more serious side – they may help people communicate better. We’re wondering when the first emotion signalling implantable tail for humans will come along.
Called necromimi (Japanese signifying cat’s ears) they were developed by Neurowear. which provided this video.
